Over the viewpoint
This photo was taken at Barcelona Airport where the authorities have provided viewpoints for people to watch the aircraft coming and going.
I wanted to catch a landing as it passed overhead the people watching. At this point, close to the threshold of runway 25 Right, concrete seats have been provided for spectators. I had to use a wide angle lens to catch the aircraft as well as the viewpoint.
The wide angle lens distorts the perspective and it looks like the Lufthansa Airbus A321 is climbing but in fact it is seconds from landing. You can see the shadow of one wing on the ground. It's about 200 feet (61 metres) from the ground.
