The design has remained nearly unchanged for decades. Spare parts are readily available making it a good model to learn some DIY spaceship repair and modding skills. Famously sturdy and dependable, Sunfox enthusiasts half-jokingly claim that you could find one drifting in an asteroid belt iced-over and missing an engine, fill the fuel tank and drive it home. Indeed, seeking out and refurbishing these classic ships is a rewarding hobby (and lucrative business) for many.
I originally designed this MOC in Bricklink Studio, but thought it was cool enough to be worth ordering the parts to build in real plastic. I'm immensely proud of this creation, I think it's the coolest Lego spaceship I've built!
And yes, it is very swooshable :)
