Strobe Test
Learning to use my SB800 and SB600 off camera. With onboard flash I have three available.
Trying to learn portrait. As you can see, this photo looks somewhat flat. I notice the shadows and feel I can fix that. However, how does one get that pop or 3D'ish look to my portraits?
Is there a way to place the strobes to bring about depth? Do you put them close on low power...far on high power..etc...
This shot was taken in a sunroom with lots of big windows. However, it was early evening. The celing is light brown so no bounce. Flashes were about 45 degrees. One on each side of camera. Camera was several feet behind flashes using 70-200 zoom lens.
Thanks for any advice.
