Davis Wye and Depot
Long ago this was SP's Davis Wye. The depot and the tower are still there today. The east leg of the wye is visible on the right side of the frame and the west leg is on the other side of the depot. SP always had lots of junk parked around the grounds, like the flat bed and the truck trailer. Employee pick-up trucks were also parked around the facility. This photo was taken a few months before the orderboards came down, late in a winter afternoon. In many valley towns, the remaining palm tree or trees demarcate the location of long-gone depots.
