Lb 959 on Train 957 at Thessaloniki
Lambda-beta 959, a Northern British Locomotive Works, 2-10-0 is preparing to get ready for depature at the Thessaloniki passenger stations for it's night run to Drama. These 2-10-0 s typically lead 3-4 car passenger trains in Northern Greece. Nearing the end of their operating days, the deferred maintenance is beginning to show. Not the lower running light on the right side of the locomotive, it has been repaired with a non-standard approach by installing a new socket to the right and above the center socket. These 2-10-0s also seemed to be leaking steam from many places that were not meant to issue steam. The number plate is well-wired onto the frame.
