In the waning days of mail trains, Santa Fe was still running numbers 7 and 8, but their operational days were nearing an end. The mail had already been taken off the rails and we're close to the end of mail train operations as Santa Fe PA 68 leads a single coach down the valley, just east of Riverbank. Up to the very end, AT&SF kept those massive A-1-A trucks (and everything below the frame) in fresh silver paint.
