4449 with the AFT backing to the Elvas Wye
It's early morning and the American Freedom Train has wrapped up its visit to Sacramento. As the sky lightens up over the Sierra 4449 is shoving it's train back along SP's double track onto what it will use as the tail track - the east end of the Elvas Wye and the mainline toward Roseville. Once clear of the east switch, the 4449 will reverse direction and take the Stockton Subdivision down the Valley for its next stop in Fresno. Sacramento Street lights are still illuminated as 4449's exhaust wafts over the 11 masted code line poles into downtown Sacramento.
