The Greek railways had acquired 16 "War Austerity" 2-10-0s in 1952 from Turkey and placed them in the Lambda beta class. These were British built engines (and they look like it) constructed during WW II. Still running nearly three decades later these engines were used on passenger trains out of Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
