SP&S 330 meets BN 4104 at Algoma

This was as far north as Ted and I would get this morning. It was a wet, rainy day as we explored railroads in Oregon for the first time. The action out of Klamath Falls took us north of town. This was incredible for 1970 - it was all ALCO and in this case FA1s and C636's! Algoma is along the eastern shore of Klamath Lake several miles north of Klamath Falls. After following the 330 and train north from Klamath Falls we encountered an FA1 and two C636s heading south. As we wheeled the car about, and followed this train back south, it slowed to enter the siding at Algoma. Knowing what was coming north we headed for the south end of the siding and set up here for the meet. The two power assemblies are the same, and oriented the same with the FA1 on the south and two back-to-back C636s on the north end. This is three months after the BN merger and these engines display either the original three-digit SP&S numbers or their new four-digit BN numbers, buy they are all still in SP&S paint.
