Amador Central, Little Engine - Big Country

The little GE leads four loads west along track laid on a ledge cut in the hillside. This was an every weekday round trip for the number 8, hauling loads downhill from the mill in the morning and returning with empties uphill. The little engine required a stop about half way down to cool the brakes, and another on the way back uphill to cool the traction motors.
