A D Dickinson opened in 1952 as a maintenence garage/ Esso filling station until Esso lost interest and stopped supplying the smaller filling stations.
After Esso the site changed to Burmah with WCF becoming the last brand sold on site with sales of fuel ending in November 2000. with the site shortly after being decommissioned, Fuel was sold as attended service from when the forecourt opened until the end of fuel sales, thanks to Simon Dickinson for this information.
This was one of several filling stations on the 22 mile stretch of A52 from Boston to Skegness with only one remaining today on the outskirts of Skegness (Lomax Corner Garage).

The earliest street view from 2008 shows the pump islands visible although all pumps/signage had all gone.
