Steel Cattails

24" Tall. Cattails made with 5/8" steel rod welded to 3/16" stems. Finer details added with a Dremel. Sheet metal leaves bent and hand forged using a vise and ball peen hammer. Steel plate base shaped and textured with an angle grinder. Finish: heat colored and black wax applied with the use of propane torch.
