How to train your drag- uhm.. cub (vol 2)
A RP scene at Elven Palace (RP Sim: Chronicles of Lynnea)
(Some lines removed to avoid spoilers / metagaming)
...."Uhm.. I never tried this" she announced and tilted her head, looking at Dara and wondering how she was to attack. To her question she shook her head "No, the best weapon I ever had was a broom, and no, I wasn't chasing people with it either". Her voice was explanatory, not mocking or anything else. Well, she did the first thing came to her mind. Raising the sword above her head she just ran towards her, aiming to hit the woman like one would do with a frying pan. There wasn't any hesitation in her moves, as she was very sure Dara could protect herself if she wished
.......She readjusted the sword in her hand t hold it better and ran towards her again, this time her arm reached forward and holding it like a cane of a blind man, pointed at her belly. It almost looked like the sword was dragging her along, not she was carrying it
...... Emily tried over and over, each time trying to catch what she was doing wrong and try to make her calculations better next time. Blood was rushing to her stiff face with the effort she was showing, and her hair was starting to get loose here and there as she rolled around and dove forward, now falling to her shoulders. Still, her jaw was shut and teeth were clenched. Not only her attacks were getting better, she was doing swifter moves, maybe better than a beginner human would do. When she thought she managed at last, she missed again, and the woman's voice echoed in her head. She had to close her eyes for a moment to contain herself, but there it went again: "Enough!" The words came out before she could stop it, and there she was, breathing fast not very clear if out of the effort or the rage building inside her. "I am trying okay? You can't just.. push a button and turn me into a merciless warrior like yourself by bossing around like that! I am -not- built for this!"
...... She covered her cheek with one hand as she gazed to her with a flicker on her eyes and frowned face, shoulders moving along with her fast breathing. After a rub of her now even redder cheek she let her arm down "If only I knew you wouldn't eat me in the end anyways" she said, but instead of continuing her wordly war she tightened her grip on the sword with gritted teeth. It was a progress alright, despite developing a nasty habit to snap back. Without another word she continued her 'attacks', now a controlled frustration was added to her gaze. As if she -really- wanted to hurt her even though it was just a wooden sword in her hand....
