The bikes we rented in Risani were pretty shoddy. The guy who got them for us was the caricature of a third-world entrepreneur. "Half an hour" meant "an hour and a half," and "nice bikes" meant "any two bikes I can round up, including but not limited to my great aunt's 3-speed whose chain pops off the gears every 15 feet." Seriously, we walked to his relatives' house and asked if we could borrow the bike for a couple of hours.
