A bit fuzzy, but yet an important photo of the Soo Line in a transitional state. Three SDs lead a freight southbound through Fond du Lac, Wi during intense bidding for the Milwaukee road. In two short weeks, the Soo would unexpectedly be awarded its midwestern competitor. In a few short months, Milwaukee units would begin plying these rails. First, to announce the transaction and then, in a more permanent state.
