This is picture is an example of color interaction and figure ground. The tape is in main focus and the color for color interaction help to draw away from the tape that is out from it. I wanted to take pictures of cassette tape but didn’t know how to. So after messing with posing i though why not just pull tape out and putting the cassette on top of another but only to have it stand up a little and use my angle to create that figure ground look. Editing was giving this picture a draw to the blue tone. Adding blacks and whites and back on highlights. Using an adjustment brush I highlighted over the tape to draw more color to the tape and help it stand out. Also a I added a black vignette to draw out the edges of the picture and focus on the curves of the tape.
