When Patience Pays Off
After the Lakeside Limited rolled past my vantage point at mile post 8.7, I knew the train would return in the opposite direction in about 30 minutes.
There was plenty of time to fine a new perspective, and I settled on this view. Dominating the background is Deer Creek Island, a geographic feature that folks on US 189 only see from the east side. A lone fisherman adds a slice of humanity to this lonely, remote area.
Numerous angles await further exploration including cuts, fills, and curves along the reservoir. I vow to wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. I promise.
