Union Pacific 2-8-0 No. 618 pulls the afternoon train from Vivian Park through Wallsburg on a hot July 2, 1989 afternoon. The Heber Creeper's passenger cars had just received a fresh coat of Aspen Gold paint. It appears Deer Creek reservoir was very nearly full at the time. The actual dam is just above the rear of the train. US Highway 189 crossed the top of the dam back in those days.
