Pinder Hydrotherapy Pool
posted for Windows Wednesday
This is the new hydrotherapy suite within the new Winchester Sport and Leisure Park where I am having 1:1 sessions.
That's Tom, top right, the lifeguard on duty when I was there yesterday. The wire netting figures in the courtyard through the window at the end of the pool were created by Michelle Castles, a Lake District based artist.
The water is beautifully warm, the whole experience really therapeutic and I feel fortunate that this facility opened in May this year.
from Winchester City Council website 10/12/2020 :
Located within the courtyard overlooking the suite, the sculptures will be made with wire mesh and will reflect the initial feeling of restriction and how the body can be gradually released from pain.
It is hoped that users of the hydrotherapy pool will benefit from its therapeutic environment and experience a sense of wellbeing and relaxation during their sessions.
