03/08/2017 10W actinic trap: Coed Pant Du, Big Covert, Maeshafn.
Trapped on Thursday night in in Martyn's Coed Pant Du, so thanks again for the permission. 71 macro moths of 21 species. It was wet at first in the morning, but it had been a good trapping session, with several new species for my Big Covert list (Annulet, Golden-rod Pug, Yellow-barred Brindle, Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing and Small Rivulet – the first two also new species for me anywhere).
This is a record shot - I'm sure there's more that can be done with this relatively common, but attractive little moth, given a more suitable background and more shelter from the wind.
