The Bundaberg Fowler!

This unique little steamer has captured my heart for many years, and now I've finally had the excuse to build it! My entry for OcTRAINber 2021 'Critters'! I remember watching this engine in the 1985 film, Steam Trains of Australia. Which you can watch here (28:09) - youtu.be/Swj8jRjl2Kw

The film really connected with me and is a sad reminder of the old days of steam, the people who worked with them, and how the locos were abandoned for the sake of progress.

These narrow gauge engines would hall large sugar cane trains to the Bundaberg Mills in Queensland, Australia. They worked a long time up until 1980, where Baldwin diesels slowly took over in their place. Luckily most of the locos have been preserved and operate on a private line offering small passenger rides.
