.... a great motto for any student... med student.... college student... or student of life... if you ask me.....
I have been wearing this bracelet since I visited Medical School Dean's Day with my AMSA group I advise (Amer. Med. Student Assoc.). The bracelet is actually from LECOM med school (Lake Erie) here in Florida, which is an osteopathic type of med school. I have been impressed with the school and the representatives every time I have gone to the Dean's Day with my group of students.
This year, they were giving out these bracelets. I have managed to avoid the "fad" of these rubber-ish bracelets that everyone seems to be wearing now for every cause imaginable.... good idea... but just seems too commonplace now... kind of looses the "uumph" of the idea in my eye..... any-who.... these particular ones LECOM were giving out had such a great message on them, I put one on, and have not taken it off since. Being a teacher, and leading the life of, what my mother calls, a "life long learner," this message made so much sense to me.... and was something I wanted to be reminded of... especially right now in my life..... so.... alas.... I am now sporting one of the rubber-ish bracelets, too.
