I'm in the final stages of preparing a wall hung piece for exhibition.

It's called "Mary, Mary, quite contrary" and uses the traditional English nursery rhyme to illustrate the connection between the policies of the Margaret Thatcher government and the problems facing present day society.

The top part of this piece exists in a colourful Nursery Rhyme Land, with Margaret tending her flowers (the fruits of her policies) whilst underground, the bulbs (or origins), continue to feed the resulting damage to society.

I have shown here two of the bulbs, and their temporary labels, which have been applied to a complex machine embroidered background
