Green and healthy at 8300 feet elevation. Shot upwards, almost due north, and at high elevation - hence the very blue sky.
This is an example why the 50mm lens on 35mm negative is my favorite combination. Depending on the cropping It can sometimes look slightly telephoto, or as in this case, slightly wide angle.
Also the 50mm makes for good exercise and stretching; First I had to walk around to find the trees and angle I liked best. Then put one foot up on an embankment while bending the other knee. Then...hooollllld it...and squeeeeze the shutter.
It's a form of yoga, I think.
