Re-familiarisation with old compact camera
I’ve went out this morning with old Panasonic Lumix DMC-TK60 18-megapixel compact camera. It comes with a Leica Vario-Elmar f/3.3-6.4 lens. It was my wife’s but she gave it to me in 2020. I haven’t used it much, so I needed to get to know it again. I took it with me around Daisyfield to use while walking Ted. I wasn’t looking to shoot a masterpiece – rather to try out the various settings – shutter-priority; aperture-priority; the 30 times zoom; depth of field; coping with contrast etc. On return, I processed the 21Mb files as if they were from one of my Fuji X-series cameras. I have to say that I was rather pleased considering that its used retail value is less than £150. They are not as sharp as those from a more advanced camera, but I don’t intend printing any of them.
