Liverpool Maritime Museum
Liverpool 030323 #5 Liverpool Maritime Museum
Today’s post, the last in this series, comprises photographs of the Liverpool Maritime Museum. Starting with the building’s exterior, we move downstairs to the displays concerning emigration and Customs control. Moving back upstairs, ignoring the shop, we reach the First Floor whose main exhibits relate to the Battle of the Atlantic and RMS Lusitania. On the Second Floor the displays relate to The Titanic, the Berengaria, the Arandora Star, and RMS Mauretania. The Third Floor is all dedicated to the International Slavery Museum.
I photographed too many exhibits for me to be able post to do the Museum justice, so I’ve selected just a few that I took as I wandered around. It is certainly worth a visit for its contribution to the history of Liverpool as a port.
