mood chaser
Faded
Fog plus tree equals one happy person with a camera. This sort of condition just gives me such a vibe. And when everything around me is in silent mode, that is the time I enjoy the most to wander around.
This part of the forest suddenly became quite photogenic for me. Last year, construction work was carried out here, which meant digging for power cables and similar. So, to do the digging part, first, this area needed to be cleaned of all the bushes and plants that were growing there and that were in the way of digging route. That is the exact story of how this part of the forest suddenly became attractive for me to photograph.
This winter I noticed some compositions here quite surprisingly. As I was walking on the trail, I walked every single morning, I firstly noticed these yellowish reeds under the snow. Actually I may not even noticed the whole area if that scene wasn’t so eye-catching to me. I’ve snaped some photos but I was missing something, although it was still a beautiful scenery.
The missing ingredient turned out to be fog. Behind this faded tree, in the distance, a lot is going on. Fog just hid it and made the whole scenery much simpler and therefore more pleasant to the eye. I was actually photographing the tree nearby, with these reeds in the foreground, but I didn’t quite like the end result. I felt it would be quite a shame not to get any photos out of this alluring foreground, so I searched around it to see if I could manage to get something. Then I noticed in the distance a tree washed with dense fog, but I didn’t know if the photo would work. When I edited the photo back home, I saw I liked it a lot, mostly because of the layers. I don’t remember having this sort of shot in my gallery.
It’s always delightful when I find something new to photograph in the area that I know quite well. Nature treated me with such a blissful scenery and it was much joyful moment to grab it with my camera.
