A Green Bee
A somewhat rare bee, I saw one last year. Notice its pollen sacs are full and its legs and body are covered with pollen. Pollen means food for the brood, so winter bees are being reproduced. The winter bees will be fatter than the spring bees. Queen honey bees live on average 1–2 years whereas workers live on average 15–38 days in the summer and 150–200 days in the winter.
