Commemrating 150 year´s of the Cork Examiner and 100 years of the Evening Echo.
The Sculpture was unveiled 8. December 1991 by Councillor Denis "Dino" Cregan Lord Mayor of Cork.

Relocated from Cork Street to Saint Patrick´s Street 2004.
This memorial is the the Echo Boys. They were poor and often homeless children who sold the newspaper The Evening Echo in Cork.
