sul luogo c'è una cappella che è stata costruita dopo la morte di San Galgano nel 1181. Al centro della rotonda cappella è situata la pietra dove San Galgano infisse la sua spada come segno di aver lasciato definitivamente le armi per cominciare una nuova vita di fede. Se la spada in realtà risale al tempo di San Galgano è in discussione, ma a quanto pare una ricerca fatta nel 2001, ha dimostrato che è effettivamente così.

At the center of the round chapel is the stone where San Galgano stuck his sword as a sign of having definitively left the weapons to begin a new life of wedding ring. If the sword actually dates back to the time of San Galgano it is under discussion, but apparently a research done in 2001, has shown that it is indeed so.
