Leaves
I edited the left side first, increasing the contrast, brightness, and saturation of the green colors. I changed yellow to green and made the color of that shade darker. Then, I turned all of the other colors' saturation all the way down, making them black and white. After this, I inversed to edit the right side, and made it all black and white.

A) When taking this photo I got low to the ground and wanted to focus on one specific plans with the rest of nature to be out of focus behind it (shallow depth of field). My theme here is nature.
B) The Elements of Design in this photo are "color" (green), "form" (shape of the leaves), and "texture" (fuzzy look of the leaves). The Principle of Design here is mainly "emphasis" due to the quick mask blur edits helping your eyes capture the main focal point, the one plant.
C) The white balance I used was daylight with an ISO of 400. My f-stop was only 3.0 to avoid letting in too much light since my shooting spot was a bit shady.
