First day foot agony
She arrived at the law firm early, wanting to make a good impression on her first day. She walked through the front door and was greeted by a receptionist who directed her to her desk. She was surprised to see that all of the desks in the office were standing desks. She had never used a standing desk before, but she didn't want to make a fuss, so she adjusted the desk to a height that was comfortable for her and started to set up her workspace.
A few hours later she was ruing the decision to wear her brand new 4 inch heels. Her feet had started to really hurt. The heels she was wearing were putting a lot of pressure on her toes and balls of her feet. She tried to ignore the pain and focus on her work, but it was getting harder and harder to concentrate.
By lunchtime, Her feet were in agony. She could feel blisters forming on the balls of her feet. She desperately wanted to take off her heels, but she was afraid that it would be unprofessional.
She decided her best course of action would be to find a back room where she could give her poor feet some relief unseen by her colleagues.
