Moving obstacle ahead. Crocodile on path, near Bathurst, Gambia, 2007.

I don’t normally do wildlife pictures, but this point blank confrontation happened on a path as we walked to the sea. Coming the other way was this bad tempered crocodile grunting loudly & moving pretty fast towards us. You have to be a suicidal idiot if your initial reflex action is photograph it rather than run the other way.

 

“Smile crocodile!”.

 

Then I ran.
