We went for a day outing with some of the old ladies from the Art centre. went looking for dancing sticks, a certain type of wood that are shaved with a axe then put in a fire to heat them, then they straighten them by bending them in the fork of a tree. They will be using these special sticks for when they go to Poland to do traditional dancing, But in this photo Napurrurla is cracking open bush peanuts with a axe.
