Trolley with no wires

In 2000 Nancy replaced some of it's bus lines with an electric guided busway. A guided busway promised to be cheaper and better than a tram. However it wasn't and in 2017 the city decided to replace it with a normal tram, just like Cean did. That didn't happen however. Instead it got replaced by electric bi-articulated trolleybuses. The guide rail and most of the overhead cables were removed, as the new busses could also run on batteries for part of the route. The new system started operating in 2025.
