Blackpool PD2 pair
August 2004: Several of LTT's vehicles were in resident at St Helens Transport Museum until 2004. Some had moved to Blackpool in 2003 but the two most delicate (Ribble 2687 and Blackpool 246) stayed put. The Museum finally could afford to replace its the defective roof which had caused its closure several years before and needed emptying. It thinned its collection and happily we were succesful in our bid for sole surviving rear entrance PD2 346 - seen here still in the yellow livery used by the Illuminations Department.
246 is alongside while we prepared it for its move to Blackpool. It was later towed round to the main building and then brought to Blackpool by low loader.
