This is the result of a mistake. It seems I hadn't fully extended the retractable Elmar causing the lens to be focused beyond infinity. In my defense my hands were cold, I didn't have my reading glasses and I haven't used this lens in years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway, I played with Photoshop Elements to see if I could salvage something and exaggerated the blur except around the distant walking couple, added a bit of texture and some color. I made this inkjet print and was pleased with the result. Squinting seems to give the picture a three dimensional effect.
