Grannies Against Rightists

At the beginning of the demonstration against the so-called Akademikerball ("Graduates Ball") in the Hofburg in Vienna. This ball is given every year by a union of right-wing and far right fraternities, the official organizer being the FPÖ, which is a government party now.

Many FPÖ politicians are members of such right-wing and far right fraternities, the vice chancellor H.C. Strache for example or the top candidate for next Sunday's elections in Lower Austria, Udo Landbauer. He's also the vice chairman of a fraternity, in whose songbook outrageous text passages have been discovered: there Holocaust victims are scorned ("Come on, we'll achieve the 7th million..."), and war crimes of the Nazi army are glorified.

"Omas gegen Rechts" is a movement founded by the retired Protestant priest and psychotherapist Monika Salzer (I think she's the woman being interviewed in this picture). She founded it, because she felt obliged to support the young in their fight against the rightist division of society.
