The soil engineer (right) did find a spot where the water table was low enough to permit a septic system. All the rest of the site layout is arranged around the septic location. The house will go uphill, behind Steve on the left.
The pink tape the soil engineer is tying on the bush, marking the spot for the septic field, will be an important landmark on the site for months to come.
