As so often happens, the clouds disperse and the sun breaks through as we near the Moray Firth, at Urquhart Bay, Loch Ness.
Commentary.
Understandably, eyes cling to Loch Ness searching for a legend,
a mystery, an apparition or a living, prehistoric,
aquatic creature or colony of such creatures.
However, having been born in Inverness and having visited this loch many, many times, I appreciate its scale, drama, moods and undeniable beauty.
Even in misty, windy or snowy conditions in spring, summer, autumn or winter, it has an atmosphere, a spirit, a charisma,
that is utterly captivating.
