BMEDDAC 2017 CHANGE OF RESPONSIBILITY CEREMONY

VILSECK, Germany - U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Bavaria (BMEDDAC) conducted a traditional Change of Responsibility ceremony at Rose Barracks Memorial Gym Jan. 19. During the ceremony CSM Michael Bivins received the colors from COL. David Richardson, BMEDDAC Commander, signifying the responsibility he accepts as the new BMEDDAC Command Sergeant Major. Bivins replaced out-going CSM Christopher Earle who (pictured here center right receiving the colors for the last time as BMEDDAC CSM) has served as the CSM since March of 2015. ”Command Sergeant Major Earle is in my opinion the epitome of what a Command Sergeant Major should be.” said Richardson from the lectern in his remarks to the more than 100 Soldiers and civilians assembled for the ceremony. “He is intelligent, selfless, dedicated to the mission and our patients, respected by all who have known and worked with him.” said Richardson. “Command Sergeant Major Bivins is a perfect fit to succeed him. To you sir, on behalf of everyone in my command I want to welcome you, your wife and daughters to our BMEDDAC family.”
