Lost
I was perplexed where this photo had gone, it’s actually a series of photos that I took back earlier this year, on a day not dissimilar today, cool, sunshine and showers day. Then I realised, it must have been taken on the old memory chard, and indeed there it was! I’m sure there were more photos, but maybe the memory card just said “too full”. It was on Llansteffan beach over in west Wales, there’s a bit of a fact that one needs to know about this beach though too, one which I now know! The fact? This is a beach on an estuary- yeah you’ve worked it out, I went right, which is out towards the ( very rapidly) incoming tide. There was a bit more of a sandy beach which I thought I had plenty of time to investigate, but oh no! I’d scarcely walked 200 metres I should imagine before I realised that I was in a pickle, I needed to jog back to avoid a rather wet end. I though that I had made it, but at that last little part, when I thought I’d be ok the sea just gently flooded the sand in front of me! Nothing for it except a scramble up the rocks, except of course the only way up the rocks was back against the incoming tide. I was very thankful that I only got slightly wet, others who weren’t as confident had some v wet clothes. The coastguard were also called as there was someone in a wheelchair that got stuck. Pays to know the way and not get lost,
