The rumour amongst the assembled gallery at Besford was 56104 was moving from Birmingham to WSH to join 56105 on RHTT 3S34 from Gloucester Yard to Gloucester Yard, and so it proved!! However the train was crawling through Besford at no more than 10mph at 13.53 on the 7th November 2016, and would go into Ashchurch loop where it was terminated! Could this be the shortest RHTT working ever!?
Thanks to Ray C who said 56105 dragged 56104 to Nottingham 2 days later!
Also 2 days later Colas 56s were replaced by hire in Freightliner 66s to work the RHTT trains out of Gloucester Yard!
