Red Grouse
We had a day out looking for Red Grouse in the Yorkshire Dales today. Hoping we may find a few willing subjects to photograph but as it turned out we were spoilt for choice. We must have spent at least 30 minutes with this little fella, I think it was as inquisitive of us as we were with it. We started by using our car as a hide and pointing our cameras out the window, but it kept coming closer & closer to us. In the end we felt it was comfortable enough with us and carefully got out the car. Little chap was still happy enough with us and allowed us to fill our memory cards for around 30 minutes and was eventually only around 3 or 4 feet from us. We had to walk away from it in the end. A great experience.
