Burgess Hill Network
Back in 2001, the tendered Burgess Hill town services passed to Compass Bus, having previously been with Brighton & Hove for a few years. Compass introduced a batch of brand new short Dennis Darts with Alexander ALX200 bodies, one of which is seen here, Y253 KNB. Somewhere around 2006, Compass sold the operation to Countryliner. Of course, last October Countryliner went bust and the town services 34 and 35 were picked up on a part-commercial, part-subsidised basis by Heritage Travel (theSussexBus.com) until Metrobus muscled-in and introduced fully commercial services. Heritage ran the services free for a few days before withdrawing:

Next month, it all kicks off again as theSussexBus.com introduces new Burgess Hill town services 134 and 135. It will be interesting to see what happens.....
