Astromega Rear Ends
Certain differences are visible here between these two versions of the Van Hool Astromega. On the left is Oxford Tube 50202 (T44 UBE), owned by Thames Transit, a TD927 model and on the right is Megabus Gold 50306 (SF13 FMK), owned by Western Buses, an example of the current TDX29 model. Both Oxford Tube and Megabus Gold are, of course, Stagecoach brands. I think I prefer the older verison, it seems a little less fussy! The current Tubes will be stood down later this year when Stagecoach takes delivery of another 32 Astromegas: 26 for Oxford Tube, 3 for Megabus Gold and 3 for Megabus.
