Close impact

Lightning strikes from the balcony overlooking mayarco beach in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Caught up in the hustle and bustle, I persisted, exposed to the lightning strike and the elements. Lightning struck 800m away (in the photo) at the edge of the frame, and a few moments later another struck 500m out over the ocean.
