Many Lines
My hands are my greatest tools. I use them to type, to communicate, to tend to my gardens, to care for my body, to cook my meals, to mend my clothes and to hug my loved ones. My palms have many lines. Like the growth rings of a mighty oak, these lines represent many years of learning and experiencing the world; and exposure to times of tremendous growth and tumultuous challenge. I cannot wash these lines away. I cannot scrub them from my hands. They are permanent reminders of where I have been and how I got to where I am today. I cherish my hands and all the amazing tools God has given me!
