This year we've been given a brace of Hogs for the North West RHTT. It makes a change from the regular DRS traction of recent years, although can't quite match the draw of more glamorous loco's for the spray trains in certain other parts of the country.
70809 catches a decent patch of late afternoon sunshine passing Brock with 3J11 on Mon 6th October 2025.
The train commenced its circuitous journey from Carlisle Yard at 11.00, and if all went according to plan, would return there at just after 07.30 the following morning, having been here, there and everywhere.
