DCU Fish From the Stars #5

I land the disk of our team on the ground. They all step off, and form a line on the street. In front of us, an army of robots marching down the streets. Hovering above is a man in a red and blue costume, with an orange creature on his head. He seems to be using Atlantean tech to fly and holding what looks like a whip or something.

Guy - Hey look, the Fisherman found his pole.

He begins to laugh but stops as he sees no one else is.

Fisherman - Green Lanternsss! I will take my revenge againssst you for taking me captive!

Arthur - Why Atlantis? Why attack there?

Fisherman - I needed an Atlantean, of course. With the stronger durability I will not be detached so easily.

Arthur - An Atlantean? You enslave one of my people!?

Fisherman - Kehehe, This is the end for you all. If you give up now I shall show you mercy.

Arthur - If you think that we will stand down...

I clench my fist, my ring spewing energy. I see Guy and Jess do the same. Aquaman readies his trident and tempest has a blue glow encompass his hands. Mari places her hand on her totem, calling for what looks to be an elephant and Jeff begins erupting lightning from his hands.

John - You've got another thing comin'.

Fisherman - Ssso be it. Attack!

The swarm of Manhunters begin to charge us. Guys starts off our defense with a volley of missiles, followed by a shield to hold them back. Me and Jessica fly forward and begin to fire blasts of energy at the robots, destroying them. As the begin to overrun guys shield, Tempest puts his hands together. A few seconds later the various fire hydrants and manholes burst with water. The water flows towards him, as he begins to form blue water knights.

As Guys shield finally breaks, the Manhunters charge the group. The knights made by Garth begin to fight against the Manhunters as Mari and Aquaman charge. Jeff stays behind them, firing electric blasts towards the group of machines.

Me and Jessica fly down and begin creating constructs to help in the fight against the army. I make an axe and a sword and begin to slash at the robots wiping out around 20 of them. Jessica makes a rope, grabbing a some and bursting them by fighting the rope. Guy is still above, smashing down onto the bots with a hammer, clearing out large groups at a time.

Mari and Aquaman continue to fight on the ground with the water knights but look to be struggling. They are seemingly buried under the amount of enemies in front of them, and try to get free. I fly down and grab the two, bringing them to where Jeff and Tempest are.

Mari - It's not working. There are too many of them.

John - If we can take him down and remove the device relaying commands to the Manhunters, we can win this.

Arthur - If we all just leave to fight him the city is as good as dead!

Jeff - You two go. John can fly you up there, where the two of you can take him down.

John - But what about you guys? We can't just leave you here.

Jeff - It's alright, I have a plan. Tempest when they fly out, I want you to make a bubble of water around us. I'll electrify it so they can't get in.

Jess and Guy both land.

Tempest - Alright everyone gather round.

I create a platform under Aquaman, and begin to fly upward. Once high enough, we see a blue bubble form which soon begins to pulse with electricity. Looks like it's up to is then.

I get us to the building where the Fisherman was standing.

Arthur - He was here minutes ago! I saw him while we discussed the plan.

John - It's alright, my ring can track him down.

I pull up my ring and scan his residue. It begins to compute the coordinates, then reads off a string of numbers.

Arthur - No! We need to leave now!

He almost leaps off the building before I stop him.

John - What? What is it?

Arthur - Those coordinates are Atlantis! It can not have another attack. To may have been lost already. Now let us go!

I oblige, creating a platform under him and flying over the ocean. He leaps off into the water and heads out into the sea. I begin to fly to the coordinates listed on my ring, and once arriving, dive downward. In front of me is a spectacle I never thought I would witness. Atlantis.
